In 2013, Jacques began exploring the use of lithium-ion batteries as an alternative to lead-acid batteries for UPS systems. He played a key role in the installation, testing, and development of lithium-ion batteries that could meet the diverse needs of the South African market.
Jacques' goal was to provide the South African market with high-quality and affordable products. To achieve this, he established relationships with overseas manufacturers and explored various manufacturing opportunities.
To support his vision, Jacques surrounded himself with a team of skilled professionals in business, operations, systems integration, and engineering. Together, they founded EON Lithium.
